August 1996 God gave me a vision for world evangelism. This is it and the building blocks he has added..
I awoke from a dream-in that dream I saw millions of people leaving the waters of the ocean and coming up on shore. It was a long curved expanse, much like the East coast of the United States. In that dream I saw the sign Zebedee Fishing Factory.
Some years later I saw Psalm 84 and the words Pools of Rain or blessings of the teacher. Shortly after that- I heard His voice declare a ministry that would enter into the supernatural workings of Him. Most recently I saw a church with much pain in the leadership and the marriages and the relationships of that church. Next to it a building had a single sign. Rich Waters.NOTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT PRAYER, A VISION, A PEOPLE AND THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT MOVING IN OUR MIDST.
Pillars of Clouds and Fire Ministries -
This is the name of the supernatural ministry God has given us. A ministry that walks in the fullness of the Gospel. A five fold ministry founded on biblical principles and teachings of Christ. That ministry began to unfold beginning in Rutland. God took us to the streets to see the sick healed, to see people come to Him. A year ago He moved us to the Springfield area. He gave us another facet. "The Upper Room".The Upper Room -
a place where people began to meet with a direction of prayer. He had us intercede for the people of the city, the nation and across the world. The following was the direction at that time.God has given us a very clear vision in many areas with regard to this ministry.
As we come together to see God's spirit poured out on this city of Springfield, we feel a powerful move as our prayers move to the heavenlies. We believe God has allowed his people to wander about as they come to a place to once again cry out for His mercy and grace. Springfield was once a prosperous place. And like the wells of the Old Testament, the enemy filled them in with junk. It is time for the people of God to come and clear them out. By repentance, by prayer and by our actions. We are a victorious people, and the city of Springfield has many believers who walk around beat up, by the enemy and even the brethren. God says He will come against the pride of the church. Like Jesus, we must seek to oppose the religious spirit, the mentality of we (the church) have it all together. We needed Him then and we need Him now.
This ministry will pray for the revival of this city, to see her restored to a former glory. We know in our heart of hearts, that when revival comes, it will be by prayer, humble hearts and there won't be a building owned by a church big enough to contain His glory reflected in the people of Springfield. Businesses will prosper and those unbelievers and their businesses will bow their knees to the Lord God Almighty. And those that won't, He will move. We pray for the people. We pray for the addictions, the curses, to be removed from this city. The prayers of a righteous man availeth much.
We dedicate ourselves to encouraging the brethren. To seeing the churches be available to God as the many different groups were at Pentecost. We see ourselves as the go between. We know that in God's Kingdom, there is one church... HIS. We pray that the walls of separation between believers will be removed, that the church will bring men and women to the place of unity, that the church would be the political force. The church needs to stop bickering, and begin to keeps its eyes on Jesus. To turn from our own wicked ways. To move against the gates of hell.
The Upper Room became our meeting place for prayer, for church, for meeting with others.
Recently He has added new direction and fuel through His Holy Spirit.
Pillars of Clouds and Fire Ministries is developing in these areas. Our vision is for world wide evangelism and what it entails.
Our church is to be a place of worship, praise and the Word of God. To be in unity with the brethren. To strengthen one another through prayer, psalms and our words. I see this as a place of revival and renewed spirits.
I believe God is going to develop a worship and a worship team to carry the message of freedom and grace. A place where there is freedom in the areas of dance, music and drama to minister to the Lord and His people.
Prayer-
Two years ago, I heard Him say develop a place to pray. A place where people can come 24 hours a day to minister to Him. A "house of prayer". That the people would be birthed in prayer, a place of strong intercession for our loved ones, our cities, our country and across the nations. The church will be rooted and grounded in the Word Of God. A place of love that will welcome the multitudes as they come-and they will come. We are to minister to all ages. People will come when "they know our love".
Family-
We will minister to the children-supplying them with the spiritual atmosphere they need to make wisdom-filled decisions in their lives. I see that one day there will be a training of children that is church related-either a school or a place of encouragement for parents and children in home school or public school situations. The church is responsible to see our children trained, as God would have them to be.We are to provide a place of ministry for the families, the parents and marriages. Not a place of programs, but of Jesus' solid love and encouragement. To train young people seeking marriage and provide them with instruction. There is no reason for Christians to have divorce rates of 50%. We are to be an exercise in Jesus' love and God's Word on marriage. We are to help strengthen the marriages and families through prayer and instruction.
Community-
We are commanded "to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction". To meet the needs of our community and its elderly. To be a place of refuge for the poor and their needs.We are to financially be a house without debt, to be faithful in our tithes and offerings, for without we cannot meet the needs of the works to be done in our families, our communities and the works of the missions. I see us as a place that will send missionaries to faraway places to bring the Word of God to the lost. Springfield will one day be a place of "rich waters", where trade will move freely and she will be a center for far-reaching mission work.
The community will experience changes as a result of prayer and evangelism. Each one of us is called to be a witness for the gospel. Our people will be trained to bring others to the knowledge of Christ.
Training-
we will soon be involved in training our people to rise up against the works of the enemy. To strike out against the lack of knowledge our people have experienced. We will train at a pulpit level, but there is a greater need and calling. We will be a training source for God's knowledge to be imparted to the nations. This knowledge will be the result of the training here. To teach our people to know His word, His gospel and the need for worship, praise and PRAYER. "my people perish for a lack of knowledge"-no more will this be the case. We will relate the teachings of Jesus to our people.The brethren-
God has called us to be a source of strength and encouragement to the local body and its leaders. To be a respecter of the one true God and HIS people. That we would be a place of encouragement and peace for His people. That there would be no walls of division and denomination. That we would be a place of transition for those damaged by the world and churches.Who is in this vision?
You are. If you are in this church there is a place for you that God has shaped you for.
Why do we write this vision?
Without a clear vision the people perish.
You may refer to this as God imparts His wisdom through prayer and meditation. Where do we go?
We embrace the vision. We move in the direction He has set down. We do not look back, but set our eyes on the finish line.
What is your part?
Your part is that of prayer and to be led by the Holy Spirit. He will lead you into the fullness of His work.
How do you begin?
By praying and seeking the Lord. By bringing the vision to Him in prayer and waiting on Him. He will bring the vision to pass
As we continue to seek Him-He will give us additional steps. We will see the lost come to Him. To be trained for the endtimes. We hope that if you are reading this you are interested in your future and the vision God has for you. We are praying for you. You are called to be a witness for Him.
