Pillars of clouds and fire...
Prayer Moves Mountains
Dear Friends:(If it is welcome and a blessing, send it on to others,Lee)
Give it away. Work in an opposite spirit. These are phrases you hear often here at our church and ministry.
Many have asked what does this all mean today.
John 12:24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. This scripture is often spoken with regard to the death and Christ. Yet lets take a look at the natural here. Seed must be removed from that which is living, planted in soil, watered, receive light-that fruit comes.
Is that not what happens to you? Your life of darkness must die, giving up the old, being planted in the good soil(fellowship, Bible study, worship, prayer)of your heart, receiving water by the Word of God, receiving light from God who is light-that you may bring fruit forth.
Galatians 5
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.We as a church have taught harvest mentality. Sowing and reaping. Last night, I went to Thursday prayer, and an 87 year old man, who has spent 70 years walking with the Lord, came in. He and I sat for over 3 hours talking about God and the work He is doing. He has been with Jesus, 10 times longer than I have been a Christian (I guess I am his tithe!).
Those in the body here know I have prayed for eldership within the church, for wisdom and Godly counsel. And he came to tell me of the great vessels God is raising up in our midst. How he has prayed for Springfield for over 20 years, that revival would come, that he would see the fruits of his labor. He has sown faithfully. I listen to him and I see the character of an old war elephant, full of peace, knowing the results of his prayers and actions.
He was overcome with emotion as he spoke of this city and the prayers to see her come to the Lord. Of the emotions he felt as the teens prayed for families. That the love that comes out of our fellowship is exciting and real.
We give it away-freely it has been given to us-freely we send it forth to others. Our time, our monies, our people. When we see a challenge (others call it a problem) , we begin to sow. If its lack of love, sow love-no peace-sow peace. Whatever your need, sow into it. A wise farmer knows when he has had a bad year, the next year is not the year to hold back-sow up to the front door!!!!
When we had jealousy creep into a circumstance-we fed it love. That man has turned his life around and he walks in love towards the injured party. We allow each and every person the opportunity to minister, to grow, to flourish.
Today, what ever it is that is on the forefront-
I pray you will work in an opposite spirit-give away that which has been given you.We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.
