Pillars of clouds and fire...

Laughter Changes People

Dear Friends:

(If it is welcome and a blessing, send it on to others,Lee)

Psalm 126
(A Song of degrees.)
1 WHEN the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.
3 The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
4 Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

This group of scriptures continues to churn in my spirit. I look at it and see that it speaks of restoration, of sowing and reaping, of evangelism...of changed lives.

In the last few days, I realize that we are reaping that which has been sown in tears, by others over centuries past. Here in New England, many have put the Gospel plow to the test. As any cultivator of the New England soil knows, with the plow results in many rocks and stones needing to be removed. There have been many who have plowed and hit a rock, perhaps only veering off the furrow, but many have sat down and given up.

New England is not hard-it is easy. We need to remove the obstacles. You want to say-"but there are more rocks". New England is fertile ground and the gates of hell will not prevail. Speak it over your land. Lift your head. Get hold of the fruit of your labor. See it-Feel it-Taste it! See the end results. Family, friends, business associates-all streaming to the Lord.

Amos 9
(read the next scriptures and laugh at the enemy-encourage those who say New England is hard)
12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that doeth this.
13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.

In recent days our mouths have been filled with laughter. Our people have been bringing the joy of the Lord to others. Is laughter Biblical? Most assuredly.

22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

And in the last few weeks our church has reached near capacity. Our cell meeting has swollen to over 20 (not including children!)

New England needs the joy of the Lord. And you are the vessels. God's chosen vessels. So be overjoyed, be overfilled. Let the Lord put laughter in your mouth.

We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.
