Pillars of clouds and fire...
Abundance
Dear Friends:(If it is welcome and a blessing, send it on to others,Lee)
John 10:10
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. Today one of our families is having a baby. This child will come out of "darkness" into the light of day. Is this not what happens when Jesus pulls us from the miry clay. And I will tell you, this woman, like the good shepherd who gives his life for the sheep, gives of her life to see the child brought forth. Life begets life. Today let us meditate on the life that is more than enough...abundance.
When we set and look at the world, do we see it differently than when we were in darkness? Yet many of us did not realize that our life was not abundant. We perhaps tried to fill it with the thoughts and deeds of the world, believing this was abundance and perhaps suspected more. But it was not evident. And only when you make the radical shift from darkness into light, when the child is exposed to the brightness of day, do you realize this is a radical change. For those in the light, we look at the child entering the light and think that this is an awesome thing, yet do we grasp how awesome? To drive out of a dark tunnel into the brightness of day, removes an adapted comfort. Life is an Awesome thing. Let us soak in the awesome abundance that Jesus has given us today.
Exodus 13:3
And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the Lord brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.Let us remember our deliverer who brought us in a twinkling from darkness to light, that we might have life, and have it more abundantly.
I thank God for your lives and the meanings they have. Press on this day. Edify, build, bring grace to the hearer.
We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.
