Pillars of clouds and fire...

Lift Jesus

(If it is welcome and a blessing, send it on to others,Lee)

John 3(speaking of Jesus)

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Last night at our cell group-20 plus people showed to share the Gospel, and what God is doing in their life. Many of these people were new to our fellowship in recent weeks. As we discussed the meanings of worship, and the Spirit of God began to move, I looked to a newcomer. 70 years this man has known the Lord (he is 87). I thought he has the world by the tail, and he will look at our immaturity and wonder. Perhaps he will remember his early days with the Lord. I suspected and rightly so that he had much insight.

As our time of ministry came about and we began to pray-I was surprised and chastened by the Lord as this man asked for prayer for his unsaved wife. As I prayed for him, my tears flowed at his heartbreak. God is no respecter of persons. Each one of us has choice. I wrongly surmised, by a man's words (his testimony) the condition of his life.

So often we fail to see the condition, because we are hurt or too busy. Scripture clearly shows the need for the lifting up of Jesus. Today you will encounter the unsaved, the hurting, the abused. They need a savior. I received good responses yesterday, regarding my first message like this. Prayer requests came. We are joining with you in prayer. Today, I ask you to be challenged by the scriptures above. To look at this lonely world. Do not be so busy, that you miss the opportunity to lift the name of Jesus, that men might be drawn unto HIM. He is the reason you draw breath today. Give that away, that others might live.

Margaret (the lady I spoke of), needs Jesus. She needs a Savior, as we all did.

Do not become so wrapped up in your Christianity, that you miss the point. For by God's Grace, you were saved. Someone brought you the opportunity of a free gift; that of salvation. Please submit your life today to Him. In your encounters, do not become so busy that you miss the purpose of your existence. Jesus could have painted His name in the skies in bold, bold letters. But He chose the creation of life in you to beget life. The Word of God and the message of Salvation to be brought forth on the legs of man. I thank God for your lives and the meanings they have. Press on this day. Edify, build, bring grace to the hearer.

We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.

In the Service of Christ for His Glory,
