Pillars of clouds and fire...
Bless Them
Dear Friends:(If it is welcome and a blessing, send it on to others,Lee)
Mt.5:44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;I feel the Lord has been impressing a few things on me, and last night at 3 am it was clear. To begin to be more like Jesus, there are certain things we must do. This is not a list. What it will be is this, that as I receive from the Lord, I will share them. I have been realizing I couldn't preach everyday. What should I do with those messages?
Many of you know, I pastor a church in "Springfields", Vermont(in the USA,yes) named Pillars of Clouds and Fire Ministries. We are small in number-some what of a Gideon's Army. And we pray.
Over the last few weeks I have seen a number of leaders, churches and people, who have been attacked, by gossip, backbiting, envy and strife. Witchcraft from within.
Scripture is clear on these issues-if you want more write me.
What is less clear is how we deal with it, sometimes. We need more light, more grace, more love. I offer you three scriptures to meditate on today. The first and third spoken by Jesus. The second Luke's account of Jesus going to the cross. I believe if we followed this concept, we would see families, cities, states and nations won to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mt.5:44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;Lu.23:34
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.Ac.7:60
And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. In none of these scriptures was it said to bless the sin... but the sinner.
Ephesians 6 declares this:
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Our battle is not with man. The Lord sees the sinner as He sees everyone else, with love.
This day I encourage you to be mindful of your words. Bless not only your brother, but bless the sinner, that he might be released from the yoke of bondage and the entanglement of sin.
We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.
