6/12/97 Exciting
(If it is welcome and a blessing, send it on to others,Lee)
The Lord is so good. Never a day goes by without encouragement. Never a day without an answered prayer. (That may be that I bombard Him with so many! I did that with my dad when I was a kid.)
Last night I went to our cell meeting in Rutland. Two new people. Hungry for the things of the Lord. That for me is answered prayer. Our group starts at 7 and didn't end until 10 plus. Hungry! And it just makes me want to do so much more for Him. To please my Father. I remember the hunger and the thirst I had for the things of God when I got saved. And then there was a period of discouragement and despair. But God saw me through all that. And now as I reflect on it, I think my hunger is greater.
Yesterday, I saw prayer release a person from the bondage of anxiety, hatred and unforgiveness. God's miracle deliverances. People getting set free years of pain and suffering.
I know other churches who are seeing things happen. Why don't we hear about it. What greater testimony do we have. And yet I realized there is such a cautioness in many churches today. If we have a miracle, what do we tell people? Miracles are happening. Spread the word that Jesus is alive, He's well, and He dwells with us today.
The miracles we see are great for believers, but, they have an even greater impact for the unbelievers. We as believers should have already embraced the Word of God, but unbelievers, wow! In a nearby hospital room, a nurse witnessed a miracle, what does she do with it??? They closed the door on me. I pray a little louder, but they were shocked.
They had told a woman in our cell group, that her husband had less than a 10% chance of making it through the weekend. That was 14 days ago. Yesterday, he was released to rehabilitation. Another miracle. He was disabled 14 years ago. The insurance companies had not allowed for rehabilitation. Miracle of miracles, he was allowed to go after 14 years!!!
And perhaps there are some of us, who have gotten fat on the things of God. "Ho hum, another healing...".
I am excited about what God is doing in our lives and the surrounding areas. I am excited about bring a tent to Springfield. This is my DAD we are talking about. I am boasting on HIM. My DAD is bigger than the...worlds. As I am typing this, I can hardly go fast enough. There are miracles and healings to come today. I heard a woman say, "don't take me home yet, I am not done here." I know how she feels.
And these things are for everyone. They are for you. Many who receive these letters are new Christians. God is on the move. And I am not talking a puffed up, made up, worked up type of excitement. I am talking the excitement that the Israelites must have had at the Red Sea, or the three young men in the furnace, or 3,000 coming to the Lord in a single meeting. Last night I had a dream, and there was a letter. And one line said, "do not be constrained by your mind,...", it was my spiritual dad in the dream. I always see myself as a dreamer ( so do most of my family, friends and church!!). So when I woke up, I realized that I wasn't seeing something through God's eyes. So, I mentally turned the pages to the book of Acts, and realized my dreams and visions, are contained by my mind. And I got excited! Breakthrough. Jehovah Perrazzim-the Lord of Breakthrough.
So today, I want to encourage you to see things through God's eyes. He is not constrained, not held back. He is no respecter of persons. Today is another day to see the promises of God.
Dear Friends:
Selah.
Shalom.
We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.
