7/7/97 Under Control
Dear Friends:

(If it is welcome and a blessing, send it on to others,Lee)

Vision.

Do you have it? Or is life moving along and disatisfaction and discontment are increasing?

Yesterday, our service focused around vision and how to accomplish it. It is always amazing to me how many people have no vision despite years of Christianity. They have been bogged down in the "life style" of non-accomplishment, because vision, a place to end has never existed or deteriorated.

Many times vision falls away as the result of wrong choices. Perhaps you have remained too long (despite many promptings from God!) within a church, or a city , state or even nation. Your disobedience has eroded the vision. Maybe the wrong relationships or staying in a job when God has clearly called you somewhere else.

Yet, the most usual cause of vision blurriness is the fact that you have not sought God and begun to take steps. Perhaps you received a prophetic word, and shelved it. Fought against a "know that you know"? Every person who is a believer is integral to the body of Christ. Whether you are five-fold ministry or the sweet, wonderful people who clean a church. (To me this is one of the greatest blessings to me!) If God has called you He will finish that which He authored.

When you receive a vision or a word, cherish it. There are too many words floating around the church of today, and that's okay, because it fulfills the scriptures of Joel about God pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh. If I give you a million dollars, (how about $384,000, the approximate current value of the talent spoken of in the book of Matthew) and you bury it, it avails nothing. Yet the church of today hears so many words. Maybe you have only heard one, what have you done with it?

Have you taken the steps to accomplish it. "I heard I was going to Africa". Great. So have others. What steps have you taken to accomplishing this? Let me give you an example.

A 17 year old girl in our church, heard the voice of the Lord when she was ten, say, "I am sending you to Australia to preach to the aborigines". Her dad's response was, "you have had too much pizza." (We will discuss parental encouragement another day!!!) 3 months ago she came to me, to ask me if I would support her in going to Australia. She needed $3,600. Her dad soft pedalled her. She only makes $30 a week, we are a small church, etc.. She leaves tomorrow for Australia for 1 month.

What did she do? She received a vision. She drew the conclusion that she was to go. She acted upon it. How? She is one of the most in your face evangelists in her school. She got ready, prepared. And then she went into leave mode. She has done carwashes, spoken in churches, worked for the vision. And now the fruit of it, is on the vine.

Brothers and sisters, God wants you to have vision. If you have it, dust it off. Throw off every weight that causes you to struggle towards the mark. If you don't have vision, ask God to reveal Himself to you. Find a brother or sister who is moving ahead in the things of the Lord. Ask them to pray with you. Get pregnant with God's vision for your life. Let God place His nature and His desire and His call for you within you.

For without vision the people perish. And I go further, write it down. Read it. Daily. Recount what God has done for you. Make that vision a part of your life. If I remove your sight you will not charge ahead, yet once you can see, you will move towards your goal, your destination.

Today, take old visions off the shelf, dust them off. You are not too old, too young, too new. Those are negatives, deceptions placed in your life by the enemy. Open your eyes. Jesus is coming. Open your eyes, be prepared.

Selah.

Shalom.
