7/18/97 Division
Dear Friends:

(If it is welcome and a blessing, send it on to others,Lee)

Division.

Perhaps you have heard me say that God divides. He is always dividing one thing from another. Separating good from bad, dark from light, etc.. Division isn't a bad thing in God's Kingdom. Jesus says He came to divide. I believe that often we hear the word "unity" and we want to jump on it.

My Bible declares in Ephesians 4:

1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Do we read what the first two verses declare? Now I recognize that the arrangement here is for believers, those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their LORD and SAVIOR, believing it in their heart and confessing it with their mouth.

One Spirit, doing God's thing, allowing it to come through us. Unity isn't "come to my church", but a commitment to the Sprit of God and being where He wants us to be. Unity comes when we are doing what He wants us to be doing.

Oneness. One body operating under the headship of the LORD Jesus Christ. Too often unity is called for when it can not be. Does not He say in His Word, that "how can light fellowship with darkness?"

Why do I bring this up? When we began this tent meeting, we realized that there would separation. We knew that there would be a line cut in the Spirit, even among churches. In the last couple of days we have seen a struggle, and one of the greatest reasons is the lack of knowledge behind them.

They are not knowledgeable about what is going on or the people involved.

Understanding is not there. We can handle the rejection. We know that they don't understand. And this isn't, "come to my meeting" unity. The reception by the community for this tent, the favor we have is amazing. And we do not battle against these people, but against spiritual entities.

I do not desire to be separated from my brother or sister. I choose to walk in the light with them. The reasons have not even been given to me personally, but have been spoken to others. And God will have His way, regardless of what goes on.

Division is not a bad thing. Was there not always a remnant. The truth is being spoken. And I believe the enemy is heading for cover. We are tearing down strife and contention over our cities, believing for " lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." We ask you to join with us.

Shalom.

We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.
