12/9/97 Let 'em in

Wow! 7:43!

Did I get out of discipline or what? When my son doesn't said his alarm clock(which he rarely responds to) I actually get sleep. And I am not sure when I slept this late, so it is good for me, and apologetically not so good for those who read this with your coffee.

Isn't that cool about these computer things, its almost impossible to spill coffee on your paper? And what's really neat is that ther are others who send me information and stories almost daily, and I have been thinking about putting a digest of what comes in up every few days or so. I don't know yet. But what I do know is that Jesus is Lord and His Word is the Truth. And that He is coming back for an unblemished, spotless bride. Amen?

I often wonder how He will find a spotless bride.. Let's face facts there are many factions and divisions and ugly splits in the body of Christ. But you know what I notice, the further I get into the hearts of those bringing the lost in, and the closer to the realms of nissions and all that it entails, the splits are less, the divisions less noticeable, ad the working together greater...hmmm? Is any one catching my drift? I know "baptist" missionaries who work hand in hand with "AG'ers", who embrace the non-denominationals(like me) and the work is getting done. Two years after being on a mailing list I never posted to, because it was for "home churchers". Some of there stuff was pretty harsh with regard to "ic'ers"(institutional church) and yet the majority of it made sense, because it was Jesus. I expected to be banned from their lists forever, and yet I received good response.

I believe the closer you get to the heart of Jesus(and that means souls!!!) you will find it harder to move away from the brother and sister from "that church". I am not anything except what God calls me to be, "a fisher of men", and that causes difficulties. Why? Because most churches believe that universal truth, but embracing it personally isn't always done with grace(grace!?!).

I have people tell me I am not going to heaven(possibly because they think I won't stop in time!) because I don't embrace their doctrine!!! So, I think one of the beginning places for unblemished and spotless work is in the "leaders". Cause if you believe the "leader" is the head and you are the tail, this becomes a reason to pray more for those "leaders". And if you believe that all men are "equal" and there is no "leadership" and you differ with those you meet, you have to pray for you and them! Either way the responsibility for prayer falls on you in the "body" and I am sure that each of you agree with that. Every day I get more and more subscribers, and that is good, but so many of them are younger, and that is great! Perhaps because they haven't been colring their vision with denomination and separation?

But to go back to the beginning(ok-the real beginning-Genesis, God loses His kids and HE wants them back-evangelism, souls saved!), when we are focused on souls, doctrine becomes less of an issue, and less of a chore. So...once again, I say, "let's get souls saved".

The only reason I do this list is because it causes souls to be saved. Prayers for other things are great, but when I see souls saved!!! How many will be saved as the result of the child who is in recovery after being run over? A lot, if we who call ourselves, Christ like imitators do our job.

When our focus is on Kingdom work, we don't find time to abrade each other with foolish things. We strive to see His work done. Hey! I want to go home, and if its contingent on souls being saved, I am God's one man ministry team if need be. If its contingent on spotless and unblemished, leaders need to walk towards souls, and stop walking away.

Ok> I have said more than enough and you know my heart. But find someone who needs Jesus and show them His love operating through you.

Selah.

Shalom.
