I guess the virus thing opened some doors that weren't there before for some of you. I am waiting to see how long before it actually comes back from a unknown source. I sat here last night and watched a few miracles unfold in such special ways I know it can only be the Lord. Yesterday was such a blessing day, I personally am feeling a little overwhelmed. Receiving cards and gifts was never a fun part of my life, It usually meant that someone had nothing of love to over me or wanted something I probably wasn't prepared to give.
And I try to give back as much as I can. Last night we had an emergency and the church was somewhat inclined to be part of it. And then out of the clear blue, tha man involved(not a Christian, I assure you!) acted in such a sweet loving way that Jesus was glorified.
Earlier in the evening my wife received a gift that was somewhat overwhelming to her as it was a) expensive, b) beautiful and c)something she would never ever think of having. The nativity scene came through the door, beautiful, wonderful and as we set it up thee was a "magic" in the air.
Yesterday, I went to the accountants(envision the sound of "taps" being played!!) and by the time he got done I was overwhelmed at the results and what had happened! A man came to my door yesterday(not even from our church) and said "I am not a rich man, but the Lord told me to give you this!" and in it was an small stack of money! So this morning I am a little on the late side, because I decided to shovel the steps and clear the beaiutiful snow off the lady's car who has just moved in. Unfortunately, if she doesn't leave soon, I will have to do it again!
It is absolutely beautiful here as we are definitely going to have one of those snowy Vermont Christmases you see in the pictures. I will put a few pictures up on line later. Those of you have looked at some of the pictures will see that my office looks like a jungle, and now I have lights on all the ficus trees. My wife thinks I have lost it(I tell her I never had IT!) and I am in my own little wonderland.
God wants to do miracles in your life. A friend of mine used to say "go beyond". Beyond what? Beyond that which you think you can do. Lay habds on the sick, cast out devils and preach the Word. You will see the miracles of the Lord begin to come forth.Don't worry about God and your provision. He says He will provide for us and meet all our needs when we do that which He has asked of us. When we focus on the blessings and not the Blesser, we have become a materialistic, self centered individual with not a whole lot to offer the Kingdom of God.
I want God to bless me, but I want to remember He is the source. Tina and I are finding that the more we do for the Lord the less we have to do for ourselves and the blessings are greater! Read that, G-R-E-A-T-E-R!!!
And we desire that for you. Are you afraid to lay hands on the sick? Do it anyhow? The very first person I ever layed hands on who was in a dying position, DIED!!! Will I never lay hands on the sick? Not a chance. It is God and His awesomeness that raises the dead. The man received the Lord and they said as He died(a Christian nurse told me this) He raised His hands and began to speak in tongues, only to be gone moments later. Servants of the Most High God. Thats our desire and our focus. Raising people up from the deadened state of their existence is what we desire. No building is simply a hindrance and God will provide as He sees fit. We are the stones of the church God is building.
Amen!!!!
We love each and every one of you and will probably not ever see you until the Lord returns or you visit God's vacation place here in Vermont. Today He has said I will paint a new picture and is throwing snow upon us. And do you know...
"My dear child, it is my desire to paint upon the walls of your heart, to embrace you in my precious love which covers so much of the sin, that the whiteness and cleansing and the warmth of my love is once again upon you. To give you my grace and my love for one another. To see you rest in my arms as I carry you through the muck and the mire, walking over that situation which has plagued you for so long. You have come to me and said 'Lord it is too much!' but I have told you I was more than enough. As you make me the center of your life, so shall I become the all of your being."
Selah.
Shalom.
We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.
