Monday morning. (To many of us!!) Are you entering the world fresh out of "bootcamp" or "special forces" (Sunday services) with the Word fresh upon your lips and ready to take on whatever comes down the pike or has he(the devil) already eaten your lunch? Its that time of year where the devil unstops every cannon he has been saving and lowers it upon unsuspecting Christians. Are you unsuspecting or is the Word stirred within you, causing you to become that lean fighting machine ever pressing on towards the mark? Unsuspecting Christians are those who meandered away from the flock, as written about in the book of Numbers(lessening becase of soulishness), and became a morsel for the enemy.
This is not the season to go to a great service, concert, play, surrounded by your friends and then go home home and sulk. Discouragement will kill, destroying the very foundations of your walk, if those foundations are not seated, planted deep upon the rock, Jesus.
Hpw do I know it happens? I watched people yesterday, some under "valid" attack and some who were wearing their "wounds" as badges. Why do I answer every prayer request, every phone call, because people need to know people care-saved or unsaved! Am I the only one? NO!
When we come home and allow our minds to churn up the horrible things that have happened to us, the enemy has moved into winning position. Its not even a question of faith, but determination to cast down every thought(not keeping thoses juicy ones that stir bitterness and resentment!) that exalts itself against the name of Jesus!!! You can do this!
The subtlest form of witchcraft in the body of Christ begins with words. Words that sound good, but are empty of life. The result is manipulations and the devil kicks back and says great day! NO!
We win when having done ALL, we stand.
And let me share a few scriptures to make this easier.
Ec 4:9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
Ec 4:10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
Ec 4:11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
Ec 4:12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Am 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
We need each other!!! Don't go home with a chip on your shoulder cuz "Sister Mary" lacking grace, has just dropped a bombshell on you and the fallout is melting your mind.Find someone and pray, talk. Determine the Word of God (and no its not God, send her home tonight!)
Find someone to be your "buddy"(guys with guys, ladies with ladies)and determine to walk out some of the above scriptures with them.
You can do this, defeating the enemy. It is a whole lot easier to pick off someone walking along the edge than it is if they are in the middle with the brethren. I recognize the difficulties accompanying this season, and yet I know God has given us a way out. He has given us others to bear us up. My week started to spin out of control because of things and I recognized it (not before some discouragement tried to settle) and made new plans for this week. They include greater times with the Lord. Yesterday, I spoke of the water for the soul, and realized I needed more. It had been a "typical" holiday week for many and my heart is that it be time of victory for us in the body.
People want to take their hurts from their mom, brother, sister and mailman(no offense to mailmen) and sit on it. We need to begin to tear down those strongholds. My prayer for each of you today will be that God's love is shed a broad in your hearts cleansing the wounds, applying the balm of Gilead, salving the hurts. I love you people and appreciate all the cards, letters and gifts sent. And those electronic ones are pretty wild. And while I love running to the mailbox(never did when I was unsaved!) it is 10 degrees below 0 this morning. And besides I don't even have to open my mail on the computer, it just opens! Those who have supported us have made it easier to continue and we truly appreciate it. We appreciate your prayers and your love. For whatever reason this list is growing rapidly. Many of you send these letters to your friends who write us as well.So be blessed knowing that God loves YOU!
Selah.
Shalom.
We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.
