Holiness

Holiness. Isn't that what God called each and every one to? Yesterday I spoke on holiness, last night another spoke on holiness. Her demonstration involved three glasses. One with food coloring. Overtaken with sin. The second with a little oil. Just a little sin. A little white lie perhaps. The third, clear water. No sin, empowered, cleansed by the Holy Ghost.

Which are you?

My prayer is you are the third. Continuing to seek the clean, pure waters of His Spirit and His Word. Providing a vessel of holiness for Him to dwell.

1 Corinthians asks us,"do you not know the body is the temple of the Holy Ghost?". Holiness, the word means set apart, sanctified.

2 Chronicles 7:14
"If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, I will heal their land". What does healing of our land involve?

Well my prayer is that the major things like, seeing family come to salvation, seeing people healed. But it also involves repentance for the sins of our nation. Abortion, pornography, alcoholism, drug addiction, et al, ad nauseum.

And it involves each one of us developing a personal revival in our lives.

Revival begins with us. Yesterday, I challenged our church to holiness. To giving up the "little things", that in God's eyes are sin. God, the God who cannot be in the presence of sin. Period, end of statement.

Today, I pray you may get victory in that area that has evaded you. Perhaps its that "secret sin" of a favorite food when you have doctors orders to abstain. Or a complete trust in the Lord that has been lacking.

Whatever it is. I pray that God will reveal His power and you will overcome. For it takes each one of us, willing to humble ourselves, turning away from the evil in our lives. That is what will bring revival in our land. Each one of us, shoulder to shoulder, overcoming the things of the flesh
