Exciting!

That is a word that too often describes situations that aren't. Yet last night our intercessory group came together to pray for the city of Springfield. And a gentleman from another church showed up...

2 Chronicles
7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. That is the scripture he asked to share. Which is the scripture God has placed on my heart for our church. And it got better. During a time of ministry, one woman was praying for another and God took me to the book of Isaiah, giving me the sames scriptures, God was whispering in her ear! We are all "called by my name". Jesus.

And when I came home there was a phone call (First call since I got here nearly 2 years ago) from a local pastor! And when I returned his call, we were able to spend an hour on the phone, establishing a meeting, and I was invited to pray with 5 other pastors. I have prayed for unity in this city. God is coming in a mighty outpouring.

I pray that this day you might meditate on the scripture above. Humbleness has to come. For some its an act of forgiveness. For others, its an act of willingness to help someone "lower". I pray whatever it is, it is changed today in the precious name of Jesus.
