Pillars of clouds and fire...
(If it is welcome and a blessing, send it on to others,Lee)
Don't turn away.
The last week, I have seen some who have talked like this trip was not worth it. Somewhere the enemy had come in and begun to chew away at the foundation of their Christianity.
The Bible talks of the man who built his house on sand, and it was washed away. Some of the people I have spoken to have been Christians for years. And for whatever the reason; discouragement, sin, circumstance, they have begun to turn away, hardening their hearts to the things of God.
I can't imagine what life would be without Jesus. I realize that people expect leadership to feel this way. But I have met leadership who have walked away. My heart's broken for these people. Yesterday, I returned some friends to their home, and the 1 hour back from there, I found myself crying as I prayed for those who were turning away. For some, its as if they think they have time to return. Others are being squeezed out.
If this letter causes you see yourself, ask for prayer, or perhaps a close friend needs your prayers and your closeness. I realize there are those who are making decisions based on the question, "how much can I get away with?", but there are those who are being crushed.
My encouragement is that you don't turn away, but you turn into the arms of God. Isolation is a weapon the enemy effectively uses to destroy Christians. I am not immune to this. There are times where I just feel alone. I spoke to a person this week about a circumstance, that needed to be resolved. It appears their response was to disappear and avoid.
Everyone has sin, and everyone has the promise of a loving God, that if we confess it, asking forgiveness, He is FAITHFUL to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Do not let yesterday's problems keep you from todays blessing.
Over the last week, many have written to say God has done a miracle in my life.
Many of these miracles involved others being part of the blessing. I received a letter of God's hand on a missionary in Guatemala, of a marriage being restored, of finances being released into a family, of a man who left to destroy himself after a financial disaster, returning to his family.
Your miracle can be today, around the corner.
DON'T walk away from the arms of the Father.
If you are being crushed, know this ministry is praying for you. If you are contemplating giving up, God's Word for you is "don't". "Count it all joy when you are faced with trial and tribulation", says the apostle James.
Please,if this has struck home-write me. I will pray for you.
Selah.
Shalom.
