Today, I received a letter regarding discrepancies in someone's theology or more precisely their incorrectness of bringing forth the Word. And because this person has a website on our domain he related to me in love his concerns. I thank this brother for making me aware of it so I can help this person. Often times due to our electronic age we are not as polite as we need be or should be.
It is easy to be brisk with someone with email, even becoming someone we are not when we want to bring forth a point. Over the year of doing this I have received some pretty harsh letters that have caused me to wonder (after contemplating a rain of lightning!!!) where someone's heart is. I respond to each and every letter despite its implications, and believe that I have treated each in love and brought restoration where it was desired by the other party. This brother brought his letter to lme in love and kindness, recognizing his vulnerability with me at that point. I appreciate it. It caused me to desire to go even further towards bringing help to the party in error.
We can all learn a lesson from this. How we approach someone is helpful and productive if we proceed in love. Jesus tells us to minister in love. This is the seed that becomes the fruit that wins over darkness. Without love, we are clanging cymbals. Amen. There is a great reward in the restoration of one off the mark. The body of Christ immediately becomes strengthened.
Conflicts are not easy to resolve, but they often produce the greatest fruit when resolution comes. If we would learn to face conflict in love, we would see the body of Christ take giant steps towards a great harvest.
I want you to know it is Sunday. Forsake not the assembly of the brethren. However you fellowship, in a church building, in a home, or in a filed or a park, Jesus awaits you. He desires to see His children joined together. This morning I was in the shower. I have had 3 messages swirling through my head for our service. I stood there, feeling alone, for there have been a lot of things going on. I asked God to help me. I received this man's letter and it was ministered in love, and I felt there was a joining of the brethren.
I thank you Lord Jesus.
Selah.
Shalom.
We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.
In the Service of Christ for His Glory,
