Jesus. Holy and Anointed One.

A song that was rambling through my head upon wakening. Maybe He is telling me only He can do it. Because I know this day should be my day of rest. Forgive the tardiness of this letter. We had a wild weekend. It began Friday night with an outrageous service where one of the worship team people where we went, was reluctant to pray because he saw tongues of fire over people. But that service became a powerful service of the power and the presence of God. We returned Saturday morning to pick up where we left off, and this carried right into our own service on Sunday, where God began to tear down strongholds throughout the morning. And last night we finished it off in another church where the power of God continued to build.

So...I tried to sleep a little.

God is moving, that I know. His desire is to work His people to that place where they are clean, white and strengthened, encouraged for battle. I am excited and I am also seeing that there are people who are falling behind and either not willing or can't keep up with the moving of the Lord. They are stuck in a place where they don't see a way out. Each day I receive letter upon letter about those who are being left behind. Church, it is not my heart that one would be left behind and yet, yesterday God brought me to the scriptures of John in chapter 6.

65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. They turned away from the man(Jesus) who had their eternal life in His hands. He even turned to the disciples and said "will you leave me to" and their response was "we would really like to, but you have eternal life".

Many people think that this is the "unfairness" of God, so they make Him "palatable", mush food. They stay away from the scriptures about the blood and the cross(too gross), preach prosperity to people who won't/don't clean up the sin in their lives(I believe in prosperity-but I also believe in holiness), allow sin to be rampant believing God will look the other way.

I can't begin to tell you how many people I have sat with whose lives have been destroyed because of addictions to tv, computers and such. I am not even talking about the pornography, lust, alcohol and drugs.

I look around and see a church that looks like the world I left. I bless God for those individuals who are taking their cities for God. For the young people who are making quality decisions to serve the Lord. And maybe this is only in America, but I think that these things have infiltrated the lives of churches around the world.

Jesus, Holy and Anointed One. Isn't that to be our example, whom we are to imitate? I ask you a little question. If you could "see" Jesus standing right next to you all day, would He approve of the programs you watch, of the time you spend doing frivolous things, of the arguments and backbiting? Forget the word approve, lets ask you what His heart would be feeling.

If you want revival to come, you and I are going to have to see it in our hearts. We are going to have to lay sin on the line and say "enough"! Is what the disciples felt(John 6), an attitude of heart from a love or a legal position? Do YOU serve Him because you have a legal position with Him or a love position? Do you do it out of love or because you have to? And will you response be one of walking away or faliing in love with the Creator?
