There's a wind a blowin'.
Everyone is singing it. And yet what does it mean? (el Nina???) I hope and pray it means that there is a wind of the Holy Spirit, blowing across this land, bring revival to our hearts. Causing us to return to our first love, Jesus. If it is truly the winds of the Holy Spirit, than I do know where it is coming from. From the throne room of grace.
Do you need His grace? I do. Over the weekend I took some hits as we would say. There are some things that I have been trying to work on that have just evaded me. Some of those (in the form of people!) were there to remind me of what was needed to be done. God's grace is that which is unmerited, undeserved, blessing favor. It is the power of God in our lives which gives us the ability to conquer sin in our lives. It is a POWER! And like any power we must tap into it.
Not having a computer has been powerless!!! I feel like I let people down. I feel like I have been in prison!!!
Being powerless is a difficult thing. Not having God's grace would be harder! Many things have gone on the last few days.
I lost my computer early Sunday. I forget to set my clocks ahead, thereby showing up one hour late for church! I had no notes, so I had to wing it, (Exodus 40-preparing the temple for the Lord). Service became different. More involved. It ran very long. I came home to spend 2 hours helping someone walk through a trial. Yesterday, I had 2 lectures and spent time in the nursing home. Today I hope to resolve the church building. I needed His life in me. What is the Spirit of the Lord saying? I don't want open or closed doors. I want to hear His voice so clearly, that I know not to go to the door, that ultimately will be closed.
Don't know where its coming from? It is coming from God. Don't know where it is going? It is going where people are repentant and desirous of His Spirit to breath life into their dry and weary bones.
The church-more love, more power, more grace. That is life.
Selah.
Shalom.
