I know that my revelation is not "deep", nor is my maturity to be considered "mature". I am a "gleaner", a person who operates on the impressions and leadings of the Lord with no great gifts for teaching. But this morning I awoke with numerous things on my mind. And I spent some time with this scripture:
2 Peter 1:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
Now I am not a theologian (nor probably desire to be!), but as I look at this scripture I see a "promise" or a prophecy, that in the "last days" there will come a group of people who once knew Jesus.Look at 2 Timothy 3;
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
People, I am not preaching the end days, I am concerned enough with the scriptures outlined here and the ramifications in the church!!!
Over the last few months I have watched adultery, and drugs and alcohol, and witchcraft invade the ...CHURCH! Has it been there? Yes! People find it easier to gossip about their neighbor than to pray. Easier to give up on a marriage than work at it.
Brothers and sisters, this should not be. Oh, I can tell you to pray and cast down imaginations but it is a choice, and then a desire to let Jesus permeate that part of you that is carnally inclined, and I am sad to say that is where many suffer at the hands of their flesh.
You will not let God come in and clean you up!!! Because you "like" those secret sins. In three months, I have watched 3 marriages in the church go on the rocks, witnessed the sin of adultery too many times to list, watched parents put their agendas before their children's care. So often we come down on those who would have an abortion and yet we spiritually abort, discarding a child to the side in pursuit of a career. People follow every wind of doctrine, looking for the next weekly high. You want power? Cast down that which is controlling your life now.
Maybe we are not in the end times(I believe we are), but we are sure in 2 Timothy 3. Remember what you watched on TV last night...now what did you last read in your Bible?
People rely on me for encouragement. Hundreds and hundreds of people (1,800 appx.)
Here is today's:
I am concerned about the church of Jesus Christ. Seriously concerned. We have as many divorces as the world (over 50%). We have adapted a form of "godliness" leaving the church and the world saying they can see no difference between us (the church) and them (the world).
Where are we? Are we hiding behind the doors of the "church"? Are we acting more like the world and less like Jesus? Are we so interested in doing things that look like the world so that people will feel "comfortable". Jesus didn't come to make you "comfortable" while you are sinning. He came to cause you and I to kill the flesh and call Him Lord.
He does not appear to be Lord of the church. He is our God, but not one we fear. He is our Saviour, but many spoke a little prayer and can't even tell you when they got saved, because there wasn't a heart change.
If you think the message is harsh, it is. We have Christians telling the world divorce and adultery is ok, we are "forgiven". What happened to be Holy as I am Holy, setting ourselves aside for the King, keeping ourselves pure, not tarnishing ourselves with the world. We have Christians living in sin(fornication), in adultery, stealing in their taxes, and we see the signs-world ends here!
We have become foolish in our ideas, leaving beside practicality and wisdom, and doing our own "spirit Led" thing and I have to question people. What spirit causes you to check your brain outside and steal another's spouse? We hear of "spirit led" individuals who aren't "Bible led".
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth Are you in sin? And haven't yet pulled the plug. The end result is that you may well come to the point, where you forsake your salvation and sear your mind to the truth. If you have been "enjoying" your sin, "lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;", it is time to put the brakes on. And confess the Lord as your Saviour AND Lord, asking forgiveness, turning away from that which has ensnared you.
It is time to break away from the illicit relationship you have been engaged in. Time to remove the idols and allow God His throne. If you have been in sin and have been trapped, write me that we may pray. I am led of the fact that there are many on this list, who have been harbouring anger and bitterness with God because He has not delivered them. In your anger towards Him, you have begun things you never would have taken on even a few short months ago.
Brothers and sisters...Today is the day of Jubilee, your day of deliverance. Declare it and be free.
Selah.
Shalom.
We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.
