4/19/98 Love One Another

Today, most of you will be in church (or have gone to church)worshipping the Lord.Me? I have a guest speaker from the Carolinas who is with me today. It's always hard, only because my "best" messages come forward!!!

God has been speaking serious things about the church and it's apathy towards the lost.

Yesterday, we spent time at breakfast, then 2 hours of praise and worhip at a friend's church, and then off to get dusty at the new church building. Sheetrock dust, chalk and dirt. There was a fine layer of dust over everything(including our eyeballs!) and as I thought about it, some things flickered through my mind. Where is the bookmark in your Bible? How long has it been there? Is your Bible dusty from lack of use? Do you rely on your pastor for your spiritual life? Have you worn him out with questions you won't take time for yourself? See, pastors really like to help, but they really want you to make progress in your own time with the Lord(you do spend time?!?!?). And as the walls fell in this building, I think of the walls between Christians. Do we really need them? We have all types of excuses for not fellowshipping with others. The truth is unresolved issues and lack of love!!! If you love someone you will move past their problem areas, submitting those to the Lord, and commit to the love areas.

Are you not talking to a brother or sister you "forgave"? "I just don't have time for them." Boloney!!! This is not the kind of meat the Lord is talking about! I spent two hours with a dear friend, who quite frankly, I haven't made time for. And other issues crept in until there was anger. We began the resolution process. It begins with forgive. "I forgive you." Say it. Feel the chains begin to shift. Keep saying it...until they are gone!

We will not win our nations to Christ until we win our brother to ourself. You can write me and tell me that's a harsh statement, but it is true. You can't cast out hatred or witchcraft or anything else until you operate in love. Your prayers bounce off the brass of heaven. Satan can not cast out himself. If you have been stalled, it may well be a love(or actually a lack) issue.

2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

See that? A ministry. Is your ministry bearing fruit that is good? Or are the thorns overtaking?

Brothers and sisters, we need to forgive. "But, you don't understand!!" Oh yes, I do. The body of Christ has been taking a "flesh break" of unforgiveness! Its time! You want revival? It must begin in your heart. Not your pastor or your spouse(they aren't reading this letter!), but you.

Be blessed in the Lord. Bless your family, your church and your community. May they know you are a Christian by your love.

Selah.

Shalom.

We pray for you, each and every day. If this is an encouragement to you. Please tell us, and please email it to someone else. If you have a prayer request, please mail it to us. We want to stand with you, battling spiritual wickedness, seeing people made free. We want to serve our brother and sister.
