Good morning in our celebration of the hope of a Risen Lord.

Do you have hope???

That is the singular thought I have arrived at. I just woke from a dream of single people in a "bar" looking for that special someone.

Hoping.

If they had no hope they wouldn't go. There are not too many things that compel us outside of hope. Even Love. And please understand I am talking agape love here. It is an active, unconditional, not looking for a response love.

If there is no hope, there is no point in: righting relationships with a brother or sister. (We know the scripture that says before you go to the altar, if one has wrong against you, go to them and make it right.) So if you have no hope in Him, you can go to your grave not fearful. you can run with the pack and live a lifestyle of anger, bitterness and carry uncaring and destruction with you.

The women went to the grave to finish the job of anointing that could not be carried out before the Passover. Surprise!!! Empty tomb. Hope! They raced back to the others to tell them of this. They were carriers of hope.

Are you a carrier of hope? Do you know that Jesus is cming back? That this isn't just a lovely way to spend life? A young man told me he thought being Islamic was "easier", because "hey, you only have to pray 5 times a day and no big deal!". Hey!!! No hope. No resurrected Christ, no empty tomb.

Think about it today. Do you have hope?
